The Peach County High School Local School Governance Team would like to recognize Atrium Health Navicent Peach as the June Business of the Month. Atrium has supported our Nursing Students, HOSA, and CNA programs for many years. The PCHS CTAE Program loves partnering with them to help meet the needs of our students. Mrs. Julie Folse, a business education and computer science teacher at Peach County High School, has been named the Carl Vinson Memorial Chapter of the Air and Space Forces Association's Teacher of the Year for 2024.  Mrs. Folse earned this honor because of her dedication to the STEM classroom.  PCHS congratulates Mrs. Folse on her incredible accomplishment!
On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the Golden Eagle Awards ceremony was held at the Grand Opera House in Macon.  The Golden Eagle Award, sponsored by United Way, recognizes seniors across Middle Georgia who are nominated in 14 categories of academics, fine arts, CTAE, and athletics.  Peach County High School was represented well in 12 out of 14 categories and brought home 3 Runner-Ups, each earning $1,000. The Runner-Ups were: Naveah Wilson for Journalism Khristian McComb for Technology Marissa Lee for World Languages  Other nominees by category for Peach County were: Citizenship - Giovanna Sanchez Mathematics - Elyas Childes English Literature - Lily Cunningham Art - Jaquavian Watkins CTAE - Hannah Shields Music - Braulio Ortiz Drama - Kayleigh House Social Science - Elizabeth Branchfield Athletics - Ian Boutwell  We are very proud of these students!
Peach County High School's Local School Governance Team would like to recognize Freshway Market in Byron as the May Business of the Month. For several years, Freshway has allowed our students to participate in "Bagging for Bucks." In the last month, they partnered with our Firefighter Explorers, wrestling, soccer, bass fishing, and volleyball teams to raise money. Also, Freshway allows the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and many other organizations to set up and sell their fundraiser items. Freshway's partnership with our schools continues to give back to our students, from elementary to high school. The managers, Walt Whitehurst and Howard Wilson, genuinely know what being a part of the community means. Thank you for being so supportive of Peach County Schools, Freshway!
