Mr. Chancellor and Mrs. Brown's Forensic Science class is investigating decomposition rates and insect activity by starting a chicken Body Farm. Five chicken carcasses (a control, stab victim, drown victim, clothed victim, and hanging victim) will be studied over the next month or so. They will be collecting body temperature data, weather data, insect larvae, and other qualitative evidence to see how decay rates are affected.

Recently, some of Mr. Brewster's World History students with Mrs. Burgess travelled to the Breman Museum & Cultural Center to deepen their knowledge of the Holocaust and learn how people in the most dire of circumstances can overcome their adversity. They even got to speak with an individual who had a firsthand account of the Holocaust's effects on the human spirit. They were accompanied by Mrs. Caldwell, Mrs. Messer, and Mr. Laureitsen.
