About Me

I grew up around Georgia, from north to south, from the beach to the city, as well as visiting my grandmother's house in the mountains. I went to high school for two years at South Gwinnett, and finished up at Amarillo High, after my family moved to Amarillo Texas. I returned to Georgia permanently in 1999 and I have taught since then. I have been at Peach County High School since 2000.

Philosophy of Education

Education is like a machete, allowing students to leave the path that they or their family have walked on before.  A teacher is a guide, traveling with the student, teaching them to sharpen their blade so that they can go off of the path wherever they choose.  The teacher also guides the student in other ways, showing them new directions, leading them, and teaching them to make wise choices.  To do this the teacher must know the landscape, the current conditions, other paths and choices, as well as the student.
